1. Who we are

This website, oe-study.com, is operated by Ö Study Agency (“Ö Study”, “we”), an education consultancy that supports students from Algeria who wish to study in Austria. Ö Study Agency is the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

You can reach us about anything concerning your data at: info@oe-study.com · +4306787929179.

2. Laws that apply

Our activity is directed at Algeria, so we apply Algerian Law No. 18-07 of 10 June 2018 on the protection of natural persons in the processing of personal data, as amended in 2025 (Law No. 25-11), under the supervision of the national authority ANPDP. Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) also applies, because of where you or we are located, we respect it as well. If the two differ, we apply the rule that protects you more.

3. What data we process and why

Booking a consultation: name, email, WhatsApp number, country, study interests, education level, preferred language, your time zone and a free-text description of your goals. We use it to arrange the consultation, send confirmations and reminders and follow up on your request.

Contact, offer and assessment forms: the details you submit, used only to answer you and prepare your offer or assessment.

Your account and documents: if you create an account, we process your login details and the documents and application information you upload (for example diplomas, transcripts or a passport copy). They are visible only to you and to our team.

AI assistant: messages you write to the assistant on the site are processed to answer you and are sent to our AI provider for that purpose. Please do not write passport numbers, passwords or other sensitive details in the chat.

Technical data: IP address and request data are processed briefly to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

Analytics and marketing: only if you accept them in the cookie banner.

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for automated decisions that have legal effects on you.

4. Legal basis

Under Algerian Law 18-07: your express consent, which you give when you submit a form or tick the consent box, and the steps needed to answer your request. You can withdraw your consent at any time without affecting what was done before. Where the GDPR applies: steps taken at your request before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)), your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) and our legitimate interest in running and securing the site (Art. 6(1)(f)).

5. Who receives your data and transfers abroad

We use service providers who process data on our instructions: hosting (Vercel), database (Supabase), email delivery (Resend), calendar and video meetings (Google), bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile), the AI assistant (Anthropic) and, if you accept them, analytics tools. We do not give your data to anyone else, except where the law requires it.

Some of these providers are located or store data outside Algeria, in the EU and the United States. By submitting your data you expressly consent to this transfer. We choose providers that apply recognised safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.

6. How long we keep your data

Enquiry, booking and assessment data: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted or anonymised.

Account and uploaded documents: until you delete them or ask us to, and at the latest 12 months after the end of our service to you.

Technical logs: kept only for a short period for security.

Where the law requires a longer period, we keep the data for that period only.

7. Your rights

You have the right to be informed, to access your data, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format and to withdraw your consent. Under Law 18-07 you also have the right to object, for legitimate reasons, to the processing of your data and to refuse direct marketing messages.

To use any of these rights, write to info@oe-study.com · +4306787929179. We answer within 30 days.

You may also complain to a supervisory authority: in Algeria, the Autorité nationale de protection des données à caractère personnel (ANPDP). If the GDPR applies to you, you may also complain to the data protection authority of your EU country (in Austria, the Datenschutzbehörde, www.dsb.gv.at).

8. Children

Our services are meant for adults. If you are under 18, please involve a parent or legal guardian, whose consent is needed before you send us your data.

9. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, limited administrator access and regular backups to protect your data. If a breach puts your data at risk, we will inform you and the competent authority as the law requires.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
